Success for One of the Comm Psych Section's Aims and Objectives?

One of our aims is as follows:

Dismantle disabling societal barriers and construct psychologically enabling contexts and practices

• raise awareness of socio-political and organisational issues affecting education, development and well-being

• challenge the dominance of individually-focused models of psychosocial adjustment and psychological intervention

• address people’s strengths and competencies as well as problems and difficulties

• promote preventative interventions for health and well-being

How do we know that we're being successful as a Section with this aim and the set of objectives underpining that aim?  Can we point to something concrete and show that we're making progress?  Any ideas and examples??

Hey Glenn and others

I'd be interested to do an audit of community psychology interventions, teaching and research across the UK. They don't have to be 'perfect example' of comm psych but people making an attempt to redress the balance from individually focused psychology and working alongside vulnerable groups or addressing wider inequalities etc.
Perhaps we could do the audit via this site, whereby people put up their work onto a list.
Then we come back and do an audit in say 4 years time.
Thanks
Sally
