A 3rd Year Module on Community Psychology at Nottingham Trent University

Hello all,

I was asked last year to write something for a European Community Psychology newsletter in response to a call for any syllabi that people may have.  Here's an attached example of one module that we have developed at Nottingham Trent University, which has created some degree of enthusiasm and interest.

The reading list has some of the following resources listed:

Jetten et al (2012) The social cure: identity, health and well-being

Kagan, et al (2011) Critical community psychology.

Nelson & Prilleltensky (2010) Community psychology: in pursuit of liberation and well-being

Orford (2008) Community psychology: challenges, controversies and emerging consensus

Wilkinson & Pickett (2010) The spirit level: why equality is better for everyone

If you have any syllabi that you'd be willing to share, I'd be really interested to read more about what you're doing too.

Please do feel free to post information about your modules or courses that have a Community Psychology focus to them and let's learn from each other's educational practices..

Any suggestions for texts I could recommend to our students, please do drop me a line too!

Best wishes

Glenn
