Salary: £39,604.22 – £42,356.85 depending on experience

Looking for an opportunity to use your skills in mental health, complex formulation, dynamic risk assessment, research and project management in innovative and creative ways with excluded young people who offend or at risk of offending? Interested in developing skills? Become part of an innovative 3-year project based in Haringey, London, which was funded by the Big Lottery Fund to support a joint partnership between MAC-UK, Haringey Local Authority and Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust (BEH).

The project will use MAC-UK’s innovative and evidence-based approach, called ‘Integrate’, which grew from the ground up working alongside those it sought to help. It is a model which is owned and customised at the local level and which wraps mental health and wellbeing around each young person’s interests and needs, delivering what they want, where they need it. It spins mental health on its head by taking interventions out of the clinic and onto the street.

MAC-UK is seeking to appoint a Clinical Psychologist – Project Lead; we are looking for a passionate, dedicated and highly flexible individual who is committed to expanding the field of youth-led mental health within serious youth violence.

As a skilled and experienced mental health practitioner, your challenge will be to clinically lead the Integrate service in Haringey. Leading a team of mental and non-mental health professionals, you will work closely with the partnership to ensure funding requirements are met, national and best practice guidelines are complied with and services provided to excluded young people are the highest quality. Embracing new ways of working will be just as key, as the model constantly evolves and transforms to respond to the ever-changing needs and aspirations of young people it serves.

A professionally registered mental health practitioner, you’ll have experience of delivering and co-ordinating mental health services, and leading a multi-disciplinary health team. We also expect a commitment to MAC-UK’s vision and understanding of issues faced by excluded young people involved in gangs and / or antisocial behaviours. In return, you’ll benefit from good remuneration, excellent CPD opportunities and the scope to progress. The post is subject to satisfactory DBS check.

Application deadline: 09:00 am 29th January 2016 (please note: CV’s will not be accepted)
Interview dates: TBC

Applications welcomed from all sections of the community. The project building has good disabled access and facilities. MAC-UK strives for Equal Opportunities for all.
