Summary:
This full time post provides an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their postdoctoral research portfolio in the area of public and patient participation. You will be able to design and conduct qualitative research, including data collection, and analysis, as well as lead on writing papers with guidance but without day-to-day supervision. We aim to provide an intellectually challenging environment, with high-quality, stimulating research, which builds theory and improves policy and practice.
The post holder will work with Dr Marston and Dr Renedo to examine how patients and healthcare professionals work together to achieve better care and experiences within a specific NHS programme (CLAHRC NWL). The principal work within this post will be to pursue independent, primarily qualitative research on ‘patient and public involvement’, with additional focus on theory and methodology of interdisciplinary research, depending on the post holder’s interest. The work will also involve helping with a linked project about the life experiences and transitions of young people with sickle cell disease, including but not limited to, their experiences of healthcare.
