Bringing Society To Psychology
Dear Colleagues, friends and supporters
We know there is a greater need than ever for community development to defend and improve communities, and at the same time the government’s austerity programme is leading to many community development posts being cut and the infrastructural organisations that support community development are closing. We are trying to find out where community development is still being practised and the learning and support that people need to be effective CD practitioners.
To find as much as we can about Community Development the Endorsement and Quality Standards Board for Community Development Learning (England) is conducting two surveys about Community Development and Community Development Learning in England.
We have two short surveys that we would like you to help us with. If you are working with communities or running a group(s) click here to tell us what you are doing https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/PHLV538
Our second survey is to identify opportunities for supporting and promoting Community Development and Community Development Learning. If you are running courses for community groups or staff click here to tell us more about what you do https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7997PBH
"There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about." Margaret J. Wheatley
We will be sharing the initial findings at the Where Now for Youth and Community Work? TAG Conferences in March, it would be great if you could complete the survey as soon as possible or by March 28th 2016
Lets get a really good picture of Community Development - please pass this email on to your contacts and networks
