A showcase of how psychologists are working in creative and innovative ways to promote good health and happiness for all
Alexander Margetts (CNWL NHS Foundation Trust) – Comfortable bedfellows? Reflections on an innovative collaboration between an NHS-based Club Drug Clinic and Antidote, an LGBT drug & alcohol service. What can two services learn from each other in their partnership?
Amelia Eleftheriades (Autism Anglia) – Team working outside the NHS. Sharing experience of introducing an MDT approach in residential care settings – the challenges, how we’ve been received and potential benefits to service-users.
Re:Assure (Positive East, London) – A special programme for migrant women living with HIV who are also living with trauma. The programme includes psychological therapy, group courses, community events, volunteering and activism. This will be a group presentation by some of the participants from this innovative service in East London.
Anita Freeman (CASCAID, London) – The challenges and successes of Multi Systemic Therapy (MST) in North London - lessons we can share from working in the community. MST is an intensive family intervention for young people on the edge of care and custody in north London.
Kamel Chahal (South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust) – Ways of Working in Lambeth: Collaborating with BME non-statutory services in Lambeth. A presentation on the challenges and opportunities in working outside the NHS.
Tomas Campbell & Jayne Griffiths (East London NHS Foundation Trust) – Transitioning into adulthood with HIV. A report on a special programme for youth living with HIV in East London.
Sarah Beadie & Poul Rohleder (Anglia Ruskin University) – The official launch for the service-user friendly version of the Standards for Psychological Support for Adults Living with HIV, which focuses on the promotion of mental health and wellbeing for adults living with HIV.
PLUS – MAC-UK has agreed to present their story, about setting up innovative and creative mental health services for excluded young people in Camden & Islington.
PLUS – Afternoon workshops to explore opportunities and challenges in working in non-statutory settings
