Hi Shreena! Thank you for setting up this group. I hope that we can use this space as a forum for bouncing ideas off of each other! Best Wishes Lucy.

Hi Trainees

Just a reminder that there a few tickets left for this talk tomorrow organised by myself and 2 other 2nd year trainees at UCL.

We are very pleased to announce that one of the forerunners of Community Psychology, Sue Holland, has agreed to come and give an evening talk as part of the DClinPsy Community Psychology Lecture Series

Date: Wednesday 24th June at 6:30pm - 8:00pm

Venue: 106 Roberts Building, Chadwick Building, UCL

Sue Holland carried out seminal work in the late 1980s in community action working with women from the White City Estate in West London. She developed ideas branching out from individual psychotherapy to involving groups and eventually collective social action. She defined her work as moving from the 'psychic space' through to the 'social space' and in turn into the 'political space'. More recently, Sue has been involved in the development of the M.A.R.E.S (Minorities Agricultural & Rural Equestrian Skills) project in Amersham which offers day therapy and skills training in agricultural, horticultural and equestrian activities for people who are experiencing difficulties in their lives, people with mental health difficulties or people who are excluded, disadvantaged or isolated (service users).

Tickets to the event are free but please register here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/sue-holland-talk-tickets-17336785793
