Call for Contributions - Festival of Community Psychology

Festival of Community Psychology: Creativity, Collaboration and Community

Friday 20th November 2015 - Saturday 21st November 2015 at Bridge 5 Mill, Manchester

Participation will be invited through open invitation. Various options will be available: workshops, presentations, panel discussions, posters, performances

Learning outcomes:

  • To share best practice in the pursuit of wellbeing, social justice and community cohesion
  • To celebrate and understand the nature of successful collaborations with community and voluntary sector groups in the areas of creativity, collaboration and community
  • To enable new relationships between community psychologists and the community and voluntary sector to be forged

Who is the course intended for?

Professional psychologists (community psychologists and those form other fields who have an interest in community psychology); professionals from other fields, including community and participatory arts; members of community and voluntary sector groups with an interest in wellbeing, social justice and community cohesion; the general public.

Call for Contributions

Submissions are welcome under the theme of ‘Creativity, Collaboration and Community Action’ although applicants are able to submit on any area of Community Psychology, if they so wish. Please submit contribution summary form by midnight on 11th October 2015 by emailing it to compsyfest15@gmail.com email icon with the subject header Contribution

Bursaries

A limited number of bursaries are available to support community and voluntary sector organisations and charities to attend the Community Psychology Festival 2015 in Manchester, 20th - 21st November 2015. Each bursary consists of a contribution towards the costs of representatives of the community and voluntary sector organisation/charity to attend the Festival (registration & travel).

Bursaries must be applied for by community and voluntary sector organisations and charities on the appropriate form. To apply for a bursary, please download and complete the application form and return via e-mail to compsyfest15@gmail.com email icon using the subject line Bursary.

Section Membership

Annual membership of this Section is currently £10.00 (£5.00 for student members).

If you are already a member of the British Psychological Society and you want to become a member of the Community Psychology Section, please download the membership form and send return it to the society by post to: British Psychological Society, PO Box 87, Oakengates DO, TF3 3WT.
