Community Psychology Section Response to 'The Origins of Happiness'

Hi everyone,

Community Psychology Section has released a response to Richard Layard's new book 'The Origins of Happiness'. The book argues that mental health is a better predictor of life satisfaction than any economic factor. The response lays out some issues with the way certain concepts are defined and measured and critiques Layard's research for a lack of focus on structural inequality and the wider social context of mental health.
