Event Description

Hi Friends and Colleagues

Please join us for our Housing and Mental Health Network screening of the social housing crisis film, Dispossession.
It will include a Q&A panel afterwards with a panel that will include:
the Director of the film,
Members of the Housing and Mental Health network
Those with lived experience of housing insecurity e.g. housing campaigners
When?
It's on Sat 2nd December at 1pm at the RIO cinema in Dalston, Hackney.
Why?
It's supposed to be a great documentary. And if you want to learn more about the incredulously distorted housing system... then please come along. We will be focusing on the impact on people's well-being whilst living under the current oppressive housing system. There is a lot we can all do.
For example, did you know there are companies who's only job it is is to help wealthy property developers get out of their affordable homes planning obligations, like this one:
http://www.s106management.co.uk (feel free to send them an email explaining your concerns)
Help!
We are trying to reach people who wouldn't normally be involved/hear about the extent of the housing crisis... perhaps some of you could be a bridge to those people?
Please please come along and send this event round to your networks and friends. We need the 'non usual suspects' to watch this film.
Also find a flyer attached to help spread the word. Do it!
Big thanks
Sally
