Event Description

A short-term reading group to read and discuss Paulo Freire's book Pedagogy of the Oppressed.

This is the second meeting of this group and we will be discussing Chapter 2.

Wednesday 15th October, 7-9pm in the Royal Festival Hall
This week we'll be upstairs where it's quieter: When facing the main bar with the clore ballroom behind you, take the stairs on your left up to the highest floor possible (we think it is 4th floor! but call if you can't find us)

We are meeting once a week for 4 weeks. The book is made up of just 4 chapters, so we will read one chapter per week.  The first meeting was last Wednesday when we discussed chapter 1.  This Wednesday we will talk about chapter 2 so it would be ideal if you have a chance to read it before hand!

This is an open group and everyone interested is welcome. So far we have a mixed group coming from different perspectives and areas of work - community psychology, radical education network, community theatre practitioners, artists, and others 'just interested in the ideas'!
